Central Asia and the Caucasus:
Türkiye holds a strategic position in Central Asia and the Caucasus due to its historical and cultural ties with the region. Through platforms such as the Organization of Turkic States, it aims to strengthen economic, political, and military cooperation with regional countries. By establishing partnerships in areas such as energy projects, transportation corridors, and the defense industry, Türkiye contributes to regional stability and development.
Russia:
Relations between Türkiye and Russia have historically followed a dynamic course of both competition and cooperation. The two countries have developed strong partnerships in energy, trade, tourism, and the defense industry, while simultaneously pursuing balanced policies in response to regional crises. Türkiye seeks to manage its relations with Russia by preserving strategic independence and embracing multilateral diplomacy.
China:
China’s rising global power presents new economic and strategic opportunities for Türkiye. Projects developed under the Belt and Road Initiative have strengthened commercial ties between the two countries and laid the groundwork for cooperation in technology and investment. Türkiye aims to manage its relations with China in a balanced manner, increasing economic gains while protecting national interests.
Europe and the Balkans:
Türkiye has strong historical, economic, and cultural ties with Europe. While addressing its relations with the European Union from a strategic perspective, Türkiye also pursues policies that support peace and stability in the Balkans.
